After The Rains
(On My Farm)

Green!
Green algae on wet walls.
Green velvet moss
On roof tops,
And the glassy floors
Of my courtyard.

Green!
Speckled, rotund, fluorescent
Prince-like green frogs.
Leaping long jumps,
Doing high jumps
On green carpeted lawns.

Thriving, rejoicing!
All life is ethereal,
Gliding on lush pageants
Of green gold brought down
After the rains,
By the forthright rain gods.
