My Most Beautiful Dream
“If you must dream, then start by waking up” ― Robert Yeo

A quiet remembrance of peace stands
by me during my wakeful hours,
and when I fall upon night,
I crave the same dream to appear.
The dream had everything to do with the Guru ―
My Mentor.
His face within a very large picture’s frame
was young and mellow.
It possessed the feeling that light
was always there.

Half to the dream, I remember so well
his eyes; such movements in those eyes!
Amidst patient solitude, he helped me
to touch God without touching.
Did I ask for anything?
In familiar ease, I kept looking at him
with the meaning of finding my soul.
Now, a form of real worship remains with me
and says, ‘You are awake. In stronger rhythm meditate.
Unaltered, the same dream will re-appear’.
