The Business of Living

In large parts, though our lives have got easier with certain luxuries and ‘divine technology’, most of us are intensely driven by constant stress accompanied by several moral lapses. For instance, the gifts of peace and contentment, despite the interest we have in them, come to only a handful of people. Lucius Annaeus Seneca, the statesman, philosopher who was born around 4 B.C. said, ‘The actual business of living demands a great many things’. His ancient words haven’t gone out of fashion!

To want to know more, we can turn to the nation-wise-motions and look at the likes of Egypt’s Mubarak, Libya’s Gadaffi, Yemen’s Saleh, Syria’s Assad. (The list is more). Between their attitudes of power and greed, these dictators have completely lost mass appeal. In fact, they drove themselves into the deepest pits of ruination – all due to moral lapses, such as, blind-power, greed, ruthless oppression. What a pity they could not gain anything at all from the dynamic and active example of U.A.E. Statistics prove, 202 nationalities are present in U.A.E living in a peaceful, clean environment provided by the various sheikhdoms making up U.A.E. It is more than apparent, the present leaders, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have always been committed to follow the footsteps of their valiant fathers and conduct themselves towards the welfare of their people.
