Dubai is a haven of greenery! Year after year comes with hampers of seasonal offerings… flowers and more flowers!
According to Al Awadhi/ Dubai Municipality – a minimum of 14 million flowers are planted in the city, each season. Flowers flourish in public parks, intersections and along the streets. Approximately, three million flower seeds were allocated to new projects in 2012; 230,000 flowers were planted around buildings, 43,000 flowers were planted in 2012 at schools, mosques, and non-profit organizations.
There are around 75 varieties of flowers used by the Parks and Horticulture Department.
