…Now in her second collection, No Journey Ends, which brings together poems written across the years, the trope of the journey is even more prominent and as the title suggests, the journey undertaken is unceasing. The poems of No Journey Ends explore a lifelong quest for meaning and although one can detect shifts in perspective and attitude as both poet and poems mature, the verse maintains a constant focus on grappling with the problems of life, love and loss.

…The dominant mood of the first section, ‘Spring Belt’, is one of freshness, hope and celebration, and although its poems have been written at different moments and in a range of places, they display a common concern with the wonder of nature (flora, fauna, landscapes and the weather) and its ability to nurture and sustain. Sometimes the poems offer a direct response to the atmosphere of a particular moment:

The ink-black sky
Stands out softly in the dark,
Drawing a blanket of myriads
Of jewel-shaped stars –
As they twinkle above in solitary splendour.
