A momentous moment to share with you all!
To a standing ovation,
United Nations in Delhi, unveils the first look of my daughter, Vibha Bakshi ‘s documentary film: Son Rise - focused on ordinary men taking on the extra ordinary fight to change the narrative on gender equality.
#SonRiseTheFilm - is a culmination of incredible team work. As a parent, I say Bravo! to the commitment of so many people and I am grateful to the United Nations - UN Women who give strength to Son Rise. #UNwomen #VogueEmpower #WeberShandwick #PrincipalStStephen #HeForShe

Yes, nothing is permanent in our world. Life is like a dream! Everyone and everything has to pass away... yours and mine; impermanence is included in the universal system.

Geeta Chhabra,

A riveting poem... Madam. You remind me about Lacan... this rescuing embrace could be the first we receive in Life... our mother who holds us in her protective arms... and rescues us in our first scream when we come to life. Lacan who is my favourite analyst and philosopher was very clear about this salvation... this is the real and unique one... as if we are abandoned when we have no defense… we will keep on feeling scared in Life. Thanks for this post Madam!

Comments received for Poem:  Love Song

Namaskar Geetaji,

Comments: THIS LOVE SONG IS VERY TOUCHING.  SO HUMBLY COMPOSED.

A SLIGHT MODIFICATION SUGGESTED, HOWEVER...............

"Even when my SOUL

from my BODY has gone."    (It is the soul that leaves)

All things in this transitory world are temporary... nothing is there to last permanently... and we are also a part of this impermanent world; we are a part of this impermanence.

Plants sprout and die... animals are born and they die. Man-made structures stand bright and strong and crumble to ruins; mountains, rivers, jungles, animals... all go through this cycle of birth and death….

Yet, I think not of this and remain attached to material and people...we all have to bid adieu in turns.  So keep an attachment which provides comfort... but don't rely for your happiness on these temporary things as when they go they will take your happiness along. Let your happiness come from within your soul which stays with you for your lifetime.

Geeta Chhabra this post has touched the spirituality part of my being... thanks, wise soul.

Stay blessed

Comments received from Facebook Friends for: Geeta Chhabra’s Facebook Posts – The view is so misty.

We can see life and are living it every moment in our own way, but, death is mystic and so quizzical. Many have written about life after life, but, no one can describe death. It happens and had to happen. Your thoughts on eternity are, however, justified. Life is beautiful and let's make it worthy.

I totally agree with you, especially, on the fact that, whether others take it or not, it is the spirit of rationality indeed, coz no matter how others take it, it is our rational mind which must adjust to the circumstances it is in or others make it.

Comments received from Facebook Friends for: Geeta Chhabra’s Facebook Posts.  Dear FB Friends. As I celebrate the 7th year of my blog / site www.geetachhabra.com - I fondly look back at the time I started out. The blog has given me another gift for which I am grateful. The blog has forged not only the ideas of my verse and prose, but it has also strengthened my precious relationship with my readers. Moreover, my blog keeps leading me to new pastures of expression. In the collective memory, I know that we are born to express the feelings of our souls... isn't that the purpose of life?

We need to express ourselves in ways so that our multifarious talents come to the fore and enrich our lives as well as those of whom we happen to touch during the course of meandering journey while we still have time left on the Terra Firma... Our only...
