The Tombstone

We speak so much
of living, love,
their valiant conquests,
and radiant raptures.

Look at our slacker view’s outlook?
Which immortal world
are we in?
A ponderable thought
to dwell on.

Each day!
Does it not alight to
bring us to our
dusty, musty graves,
one day closer to death?

The Tombstone,
was a good invention.
Apart from sheltering
our remains –– it is a :
resourceful, modest
sematic selvedge....!

Standing out
on burial grounds, and in
our seraphic, exhausted minds.
Reminding us
of our vanishing, ending term,
in this tearaway world of mortals.
