The Mosque
Between duel and chase,
Those who are felled,
Come to the Mosque.
Between duel and chase,
Those who are crowned
Come to the Mosque.
Life’s warring factions,
For a brief victory’s spoils,
Kneel in perfect pose,
To reach out to
The One and Only invisible,
Visible in the Mosque.
On a string of hope,
Tied to their breath and depth,
Tens, hundreds, thousands gather,
Where the Mosque was born
To keep together,
God and God’s awkward man.
