Reporting
From the large bay-windows,
I observe the labyrinthine storm-clouds
Rolling through the skies.
On the frothing waves,
A solitary boat rocks,
Never awake from dreams.
The waiter serves me my usual latte,
With an extra shot of coffee,
That helps me to overcome my lassitude.
On my mind is the newly-spotted
Rain-racked boat – whose pretence of normality
Reminds me of my own pretences.
One day life will drown me.
