Footage

The eerie echo of terrorism –
It never leaves me alone.
It talks, walks with me.
It comes in my sleep:
To wake me.

I listen to the eerie echo of terrorism –
My ears glued to the horrific sounds
Of the dying ones –
Who wish for nothing more:
Than death to embrace them.

The eerie echo of terrorism –
It never leaves me alone.
It talks, walks with me.
It comes in my sleep:
To wake me.

Wide-eyed!
I see bombing missions,
Broken coalitions, catastrophe beyond belief!
What is left to be conquered?
Etched forever are ‘human bombs’ in my memory.

The eerie echo of terrorism –
It never leaves me alone.
It talks, walks with me.
It comes in my sleep:
To wake me.

The dead come alive in my thoughts.
In the bloody battles fought –
Who is the victor?
Who is the victim?
I don’t know.

All I know is:
You and me are lookalikes
Of ghosts stacked up on fearful uncertainty.
One look is all it takes –
What is left to be conquered!

Conflicts are born out of ignorance.
Wars are born out of politics.
Wars are born out of greed.
Wars are born out of misdeeds.
Terrorism is the child of tragedy!

For the present,
There is no visible sign –
When barbarity will come to an end.
When the terrifying attacks upon attacks will stop.
The blazing aftermath reveals…

We ourselves did it –
To make ourselves into unbelievable monsters!
Oh! The eerie echo of terrorism,
It never leaves me alone.
Will it ever leave me alone?
