The Continual Search
I recollect everywhere I was.
I bring my past to present.
Some days I had died like a dog
In a ditch.
Other days I never envisaged
The mindlessness of others.
I need to redefine the mode
Of seeking peace.
Peace is elusive.
Peace is diffident.
With disapproval, peace looks down upon me.
But I am interested in peace.
Peace hears my call,
But turns to stoneā¦
And I dash my head violently
Against the stone.
I need to redefine the mode
Of seeking peace.
One day.
Some day.
Peace and I shall be equals.
