Please, God,
Let me live like a girl of my childhood.
Look! Sometimes, at the bidding of a single thought,
A sweet daydreaming poem invariably
Approaches my pen.
See! How I am drawn to the fullest extent,
Enjoying the rhyme:
As if it were a dancing doll!
Please, God,
Hide from me the drumming sounds
Of your crowded world.
It is too much to sacrifice,
The reigning peace that leads me:
To You.
Clasp your arms around me tight.
Let me merge in the melody of my past.
Please, God,
Let me live like a girl of my childhood.
Find me the time for myself:
Stargazing.
Dawngazing.
Feeling the dew under my feet.
Make me the free child I was.
Let me merge in my past years.
