Walking in Hyde Park
(Summer of London)
I am touching the sky, without flying!
My feet are on the ground.
I feel the coming of Spring —
it is happening,
I taste it before its time!
My expansive gaze feasts upon the lake,
the stately trees, gossamer ducks and drakes,
newly born flowerets,
children at play — all adding
such laughter to my smiles!
The tell-tale marks of my jocund mood
gladden my heart to cry out.
I am ecstatic, as I recount
my perennial blessings ....
How wonderful to be alive!
