Do we care to recollect
The expressions of those innocent eyes –
Tortured by fear and hunger?

 

The smoky haze on the landscape
Stirs the dawn with utter despair.
The skies have banished all hope!

 

The skies are bewildered at the outcome,
As they witness violence and death.
No remedy is in sight!
