Spiritual Progress

To many of us, the above caption can seem vague, or, belong to a lofty order, where we lose the concrete imagery of the term: Spiritual Progress.  The best quoted examples I see is among the people I meet, inter-act with; this broadly mantles friends, acquaintances, my own family and the extended-family.  Distinctly among large numbers are – who in most directions seem near-oblivious about Spiritual Progress.

My observation should by no means be taken as a criticism.  On my part, as always, my position is wholly invalid to criticize.  It is simply a budding observation, spurting the all-important value of allotting some attention to the impeccable way of divine life.  I too was close to being totally illiterate on this matter, till I judiciously started my journey of following the wisdom-words of my Guru – Sri Sri Paramahansa Yoganand (1893 – 1952).

Spiritual Progress is like spiral binding.  Spiritual Progress passes us through a row of punched openings… openings that enlarge the scope of realizing our full potential.  Instead of reacting blindly or with backwardness, we begin to exercise our free will in the patterns which undoubtedly start yielding fair and ready-steady solutions for our day to day problems.  Like spiral binding: Spiritual Progress passes us through openings of stamina, focus, patience, love, knowledge, understanding, gratitude, stability, calmness; these, further spiral upwards drawing us towards peace and bliss and all-round-success.  Think about it.  Would you not want to engage in Spiritual Progress!
